Charlie Beecherl began his career in the oil and gas industry with working for a couple small independent companies in Midland and Fort Worth Texas. In 2011, Charlie entered the midstream sector with Wildcat Midstream where he managed both gas projects in North Louisiana & crude projects in West Texas. In late 2016, he established Cureton Midstream and moved to Denver, spearheading its mission to become the leading customer-focused midstream provider for gas gathering and processing in the DJ Basin, which was sold to Williams Companies in 2023.
Charlie has since moved back to his native Dallas and led the effort to acquire WTG, where he is acting CEO and leads the company’s vision, culture and new business. WTG, founded in 1976, owns and operates ~8,000 miles of natural gas pipelines in three states and is actively working on projects in across 10 states in the US. He is dedicated to expanding the trusted WTG brand and its influence as a premier natural gas supplier for reliability and adaptability throughout the country.
As a leader, Charlie emphasizes a customer first approach, data driven decisions, and creative problem-solving, all while navigating the dynamic challenges the energy industry presents. His commitment to making improvements across the company, while maintaining a positive and impactful company culture, remains a core focus.
Outside of work, Charlie is passionate about spending time with his wife and five kids and his love for Christ. He enjoys outdoor activities, attending his kids’ sporting events, hunting, and fishing.
