Matt Kittell is a Director with Societe Generale’s sustainable finance team in New York. Matt has worked in the climate and energy transition space for over twenty years, including fifteen years working with the U.S. Department of Energy’s Loan Programs Office (LPO). At LPO, Matt worked with dozens of applicants for projects in renewable energy, industrial energy efficiency, light duty transportation, hydrogen, and carbon management. Recently, Matt led LPO’s underwriting team for the $1 billion conditional commitment to Monolith Materials in January 2022 and led the DOE team responsible for launching the $2.1 billion carbon dioxide transportation infrastructure finance and innovation (CIFIA) program. Matt left DOE and joined Societe Generale in April 2023 to advise energy transition clients on public/private funding opportunities.
